I’m going to get my bachelor’s degree in English and then go to grad school.

I’m going to get my master’s in English and be poor.

I’m going to get my Ph.D in English and then make less than 50K a year, teaching at a mediocre or less than mediocre university in the middle of no where, and be poor.

I probably won’t get into a great grad school because I’m not a genius with a stellar GPA or GRE score, and it is extremely competitive.

I am not good at math or science so I can’t do anything of that sort.

I wish that the things I loved weren’t so USELESS when it comes to practicality.

I told her that money doesn’t matter because as long as I do what I love I’ll be happy, but she told me, you say that now, but once you settle down, and have kids, and you want to send them to the best schools for the best life for them, you’re going to feel differently.

Strange.

WE NEED TO TALK!!! SERIOUSLY. I should be home before Christmas. I MISS YOU!

Holy OMG. This guy is out of his mind. He makes giant, extremely complex (yet technologically speaking, incredibly simple) wind powered “animals” called Strandbeests that walk on their own on the beaches of the Netherlands, soon to travel in herds. So weird and cool.
